RULES

Fretwork adds decorative interest to old houses. Joiners made fretwork by cutting away part of the wood to form a regular pattern. Fretwork is commonly used to enhance the visual qualities of verandah brackets and friezes. It is also used inside many buildings where it may be found in the entrance hall, around a bay window or dividing rooms into separate spaces.
